Leadership skills development is a necessity in today’s world as we prepare our future leaders to take Southern Indiana and Metro Louisville into the next stage of growth.

Leadership skills are the foundation to workforce development and increased productivity.

This program is specifically designed to complement the existing programs offered in the community by offering in-depth development of leadership skills—an area of programming that is not currently being offered locally.

"This has been an excellent experience.  I have benefited from the behavioral focus of leadership.  I have found that I already have many good leadership traits.  The most important thing I have taken away is the guide to developing SMART goals."  ~Mark Ketterer, Messer Construction

Former Mayor of New York City, Rudolph Giuliani once said, “Leaders are made.”  Leadership is a skill that has to be learned, developed, and practiced just like any other skill you want to improve—golf, public speaking, tennis, or even speed reading.  How do you improve your golf game?  You take lessons and then you practice, continually improving your skills, and developing good habits.

Our Results speak.

In-depth Leadership Skills Development:

It has prepared me to step into a higher level executive position in my company and to represent my company better.” – Mark Ketterer, Messer Construction

Economic Development:

On average, each participant has saved their company approximately $9,000 per year through increased productivity due implementation of LEAD tools; or has increased productivity by over 150 hours/year/participant

Workforce Development:

“LEAD addresses and develops 11 of the 12 skills in highest demand identified by Ready Indiana, an arm of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce.” — Deniece Loyd

Community Leadership Development:

LEAD has provided me the opportunity to become involved in the community; the knowledge to understand the responsibility of serving on a nonprofit board; and the tools to help in volunteer positions with my kid’s activities.”  Dawn Gryboski, AML, Inc.

Personal Development:

LEAD has made me a more compassionate leader and has made me realize leadership is not only a business quality...leadership is needed every day in all aspects of your life.” – Kelley Rudder, Rudder Electric

Not just for business, but life-training:

LEAD is my life coach in setting goals, personally and professionally.  Learning more about my community and the organizations that need leaders to make them grow and be successful.” – Susan Metka, Your Community Bank

The LEAD program was designed to build incrementally from one month to the next allowing the participant to be fully immersed in a specific leadership skill and opportunity to put that skill into practice in a safe environment--their work and personal life.  The curriculum has been used internationally, in every size of corporation, and IS making a difference in the lives of individuals as well as an impact on the bottom line of businesses right here in Southern Indiana and Metro Louisville.

LEAD is strategically designed to last.  By using audio reinforcement of the curriculum, the information does indeed sink in and statistically, we know that it is remembered and used to make life changes in the individuals who participate and therefore long-term impact on the businesses and nonprofit agencies with which our participants are affiliated.

No fluff...meat and potatoes is what LEAD is all about.  LEAD is not for the faint of heart.  There is work involved, but not overwhelming.  LEAD is for those individuals who want to make a change.  A change in their effectiveness as a leader, becoming more productive in their career, providing more impact in their personal life, and making a difference in the lives of others.

“Wow! The L.E.A.D. Program got off to an incredible start. Finally, a continuing program that will educate both up and coming leaders of the community and top notch companies that they work for. This is just the kind of program that Southern Indiana has been starving for. The participants in this program will be the news makers in years to come. I look forward to the opportunity to play a role in the future success of our community.” --Brian Keith, Human Resources Director, Koetter Construction, Inc.
